James Adray, Class of 1968

Graduating from Woodward High in 1968 Jim worked his way through college and Law school. Jim has served the greater community of Toledo with distinction in a wide variety of positions. He is a long-standing member and founder of the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo.

Jim has been active in Boys Scouts of America and Metropolitan Toledo Baseball Umpires Association.

 Emmett C. Beavers ,Class of 1961

Emmett is 1961 graduate of Woodward High School and the University of Toledo. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp he has served on the board of Ann Grady Center, volunteers for the Metro Parks. In addition to his other public service Emmett has been volunteering for The Old Newsboys Goodfellows annual charity paper sale since he was a student at Woodward. Emmett credits his volunteerism to the example set for him by Charles Matthews at Woodward High.

Diane Vizneau- Churdar,  Class of 1958     

 Diane died on March 7, 2009. A 1958 graduate of Woodward High School. Diane also attended Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo. Diane was a great lover of the arts and a tireless volunteer and fundraiser. She worked with the Toledo Symphony League, the Toledo Opera Guild, and the Toledo Museum of Art.

 

 

 Edwardo Jaramillo, Class of 2001

 A 2001 graduate of Woodward Eddie has volunteered with the band taking care of band uniforms, mentored tuba and flute players, and helped the band director write half-time scores for the bands performances. While working full time at Channel 13 WTVG, Eddie has devoted each year a weeks’ worth of vacation to help at Woodward’s band camp.

 

 

 James McGill, Class of 1971   

 Jim Mc Gill is both an accomplished educator and coach. A 1971 graduate of Woodward High school and the University of Findlay Jim taught for 35 years in the Toledo Public School system. As a teacher at Woodward Jim was a class advisor, ran the “Lighted School House” program and coached both freshman and varsity basketball.

 

 

 

 

Edna  Brooks -Robertson, Class of 1959

A 1959 Graduate of Woodward Mrs. Edna (Brooks) Robertson has contributed greatly in the field of education and the Toledo community.

Mrs. Robertson has earned three degrees from the University of Toledo. She served as a teacher, principal, instructional planner, school improvement leader, and central office administrator for Toledo Public Schools for more than 40 years.

Mrs. Robertson has also served the Greater Toledo community as a volunteer.
